- Taken in the summer of 2020 at Constitution Park Pool in Cumberland, Maryland. A public pool that my family enjoys every summer…especially the diving board. With permission I was able to stage a couple on the board at night (both lifeguards). The park pool does not have a pool light. I made one from grouping together five powerful scuba diving flashlights illuminating the water.

- This photograph was an outtake from my Fade To Blue Project taken at the Allegany High School building that was razed in 2022. Pictured is Allegany legend, Rita Schoenadel staged in the kitchen office of the school cafeteria. Although she didn’t have a strong connection to this area of the building, the atmospheric lighting of the office against the strange abandoned space was something I wanted to capture.

- On our back patio on a summer afternoon, my daughters, Olivia and Scarlett were experimenting with sidewalk chalk. Breaking it up, mixing the dust with water to create paint, etc. I walked outside to check on them and told them not to move upon seeing what they created. I grabbed the camera and took this shot from above. It was a beautiful mess!
Creative Placemaking Grant Recipient
Fade To Blue was a recipient of funding from the Allegany Arts Council through their Creative Placemaking Grant. Thank you! This project has helped bring a community together to celebrate Allegany High School on Sedgwick Street before it is razed.
2021 Maryland State Arts Council Independent Artist Award and Creativity Grant Recipient
I was very fortunate to receive the IAA Award for my Peripeteia and Snow Walk work. To help with the funding of my Fade To Blue Project I was also awarded a Creativity Grant. I am very grateful…these funds will go a long way!!

The second installment in my "Peripeteia" series. This is a staged photograph at my family's lake house in Swanton, MD on Deep Creek Lake. I came up with this composition while on a summer visit and went back in the winter to set up the shot.

- Taken during a late snowy night dog walk in my neighborhood. The window dressings cast an eerie light which almost mimicked the light coming from an adjacent parking lot. No one walking around, no cars, one of those silent moments in a snow storm.

- I thought about this photograph for about a year before attempting to pull it off. I rode by this motel a few times a week and couldn't stop thinking about what kind of story could be told through a still image with this structure as the setting.
South Branch

-Taken in Green Spring, WV on the South Branch Potomac River. This one was an adventure because had to cross the river with everyone and the gear to get into position. Also getting the figure onto the boulder in the middle of the river was memorable. The final image hopefully leaves the viewer wondering what happen before and after this moment.

- Taken the same late snowy night dog walk very close to where I live. This neighbor loves decorating and lighting up their property for most holidays. The lights looked dramatic in the fresh snow which continued to falling for my entire neighborhood wandering.

This show really gave me the confidence and motivation to start doing digitally manipulated photography and photography in general more regularly. This piece received a lot of attention during the opening reception, which made me realize it would make for an interesting series...which would become my first.

The rooster has become a crowd pleaser. It was one of my first few attempts at digital manipulation. The rooster was in an enclosure on a horse farm going towards Oldtown, MD.

Superposition Series
I had met a few professional photographers during the course of the past few years at different art openings. After receiving an award for Superpostion #1 and showing a few more newly finished images in the series to artists I respect, I was told to apply for an Individual Artist Award. This worked out because they only offer the Photography category every three years. I submitted what I had completed in the series and was blown away to receive the award months later!

Anatomy of an Observed World
-this piece received Honorable Mention in a show titled "La Bella Vita" later in the year in the same gallery.
First time attempting a digitally manipulated photograph for a competition. It is three photos put into one image. First is the background, which is the landscape of Cumberland, MD at sunrise. Second is a photo of myself turned into a silhouette and lastly is a reflected apple tree to represent lungs. There are some metallic scratches overlaid as texture as well.
